AES is a local medical waste disposal company that has been servicing the Chicago-metro area since 2001. Our Itasca, Illinois facility is the only commercial medical waste treatment facility in the greater Chicagoland area, located in DuPage county, and is 8 miles west of O’Hare International Airport. The central location of our treatment facility allows us to use small fuel-efficient trucks for local routes and eliminates the out-of-state hauling and disposing of waste that most other companies use.

Our treatment facility is scheduled to be operational in the second quarter of 2010, utilizing state of the art autoclave, stream condenser, and shredder technologies that eliminate steam from the treatment vessel and excess moisture from the waste, eliminating water disposal and steam exposure to employees, making the facility both as worker-friendly and environmentally-friendly as possible. The steam sterilization technology is the safest and greenest treatment method available to date, eliminating the unhealthy emissions from incineration treatment techniques used at other facilities.
